Rums of Puerto Rico: a History of Progress is a book that analyzes the way in which Puerto Rico developed a successful institutional campaign designed to advertise rum. Since 1949 the government of Puerto Rico created Rums of Puerto Rico as an advertising tool to publicize rum. Throughout the second half of the twentieth century the government of Puerto Rico successfully utilized Rums of Puerto Rico as a branding tool. The pages of this book analyze and illustrate the history that encompasses the economic, political, cultural and the social circumstances that enabled the progress of Rums of Puerto Rico.
